Dear Genesis Community,

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know that the COVID-19 Coronavirus is now considered a Global pandemic.

As our community's safety is of the utmost importance, we want to show solidarity under these unfortunate circumstances and get through this together.

Here are some changes, recommendations and precautions that will be taking effect at Genesis:

1) All studio users, coworkers and guests are required to wash their hands in the washroom before entering Genesis - this is by far the most effective preventative measure.
- Hand sanitizer is provided in the Pantry and Coworking Space… please don't hesitate to use it. Repeatedly :)

2) If, indeed, you are showing symptoms (dry cough, fatigue, fever) or simply feeling under the weather - we urge you to take all the necessary precautions to protect yourself and others and refrain from coming down to the Genesis premises. We'll be here when you recover :)

3) We are enforcing zero contact amongst members, staff and guests. The Genesis handshake will be put on pause to avoid the largest % chance of transfer (nobody is more saddened by this than Pak Putu).

4) If symptoms are mild, there may not be a need to go to the hospital but to isolate yourself from others, drink lots of water, rest and take medication for flu. Please check this link for more information.

If you are concerned your symptoms are worsening, the following hospitals are able to test for the virus and respond:
- Sanglah General Hospital, Denpasar (50 mins away)
- Tabanan General Hospital, Tabanan (30 mins away)
- Sanjiwani General Hospital, Gianyar (1 hour+ away)

5) We will be vigilantly, deeply and constantly cleaning the surfaces and equipment at Genesis before and after each booking/3 times a day in Coworking.

This is uncharted territory in interesting times. Thankfully, it's the old fashioned, tried and tested formulas that are our best form of protection.

Our way through it is being honest with ourselves, each other and staying healthy.

Apocalyptic precautions aside, we are still open for business and selling Jamu out of the pantry - a natural elixir if ever there was one ;)
